Seeking a Production Coordinator to work for a great fashion company in NYC! You will be responsible for overseeing the color approval process trim, and fabric, trim, ensuring deadlines are met. You will be organizing and maintaining the color library, trims, fabric, and communicating all approvals, rejections and raw material information to vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Must have costing experience.
- Must have private label experience
- Must be an “end to end” person regarding production/product
- Familiarity with negotiating with the factories (tariffs, price cuts, etc.)
- Know what it means to “land a garment”
- Familiar with FOB, which is a payment term
- Know what DDP means (delivered duty paid)
- Know what LDP (landed duty paid) means
- Manage from start to finish, the approval process of trim, fabric, and color approval
- Partner with overseas vendors ensuring timely delivery of all approvals and submissions
- Demonstrate strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Evaluate bulk fabric submissions against established standards for quality, hand feel, weight, stretch, and color.
- Across multiple styles, ensure color consistency
- Approve layout of all labels
- Maintain an organized seasonal filing system
- Provide detailed instructions to vendors and mills
- Request lab dip submissions
- Manage fabric testing processes
Qualifications:
- Experience in managing production approval processes
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Daily communication with overseas suppliers on all production approvals t
- Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
